Weekly Motivation Message

thankfulThis week’s topic is about being thankful for challenges. Today is my 2 year anniversary as a Beachbody coach and I am thankful for the challenge it has brought me to stick to my health & fitness goals and help others do the same. So many of us have very busy jobs and lives, we get overcome with the challenge of consistency – being a Beachbody coach really helps me stick with it. What challenges are YOU thankful for because they make YOU better??!!

Reminder it’s Beauty and the Beast month in August – check out the Challenge Pack specials for Body Beast –or– Turbo Fire – do you need a new challenge?

Thankful for challenges

Be thankful that you don’t already have everything you desire.

— If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don’t know something,

— for it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times.
— During those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations,
— because they give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge,
— because it will build your strength and character.
Be thankful for your mistakes.
— They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you’re tired and weary,
— because it means you’ve made a difference.

It’s easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who
are also thankful for the setbacks.
Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles,
and they can become your blessings.

I ran across this “thought for the day” from 2008, and decided it would be a good addition to our conversations here, even though it’s not even close to Thanksgiving time. Most of us have challenges of one sort or another. Our health isn’t always perfect; our careers have ups and downs, our families aren’t always the perfect families, and our hairlines aren’t always as good as we would like. But even when things aren’t running perfectly, they still give us a chance to be thankful — for without challenges in our lives, we would have no reason to become better.

When lived well, Life is a chance for us to make something of ourselves — to become better, stronger, happier; to be more forgiving, more understanding, more compassionate; to become more competent, more inspiring, more of a leader; and to become more thankful for what we have, even though we may try to gain more.

The person who isn’t thankful for the things he or she has probably isn’t worthy of gaining more — which they will likely never be thankful for, anyway.
